beckham.jpgIn his second year as an ambassador for UNICEF, David Beckham recently helped bring child mortality in Sierra Leone to the attention of the world. One-in-four children are dying before reaching their fifth birthday partly due to measles and malaria. Of course he played a little soccer and signed paraphernalia for the children of West Africa while he was there. My thought is, if taking his shirt off (while playing soccer) brings more vaccinations and mosquito nets to this desperate area, keep the activism for good causes coming!
