Looking like a young Whitney, sounding like a young Faith Hill, this little spunk is Rissi Palmer (MySpace link). I usually despise country music, and on top of that I usually despise a cover, however I can not push stop on my iTunes as this song plays. The twang of the violins don’t bother be because when she hits “breath” in the third refrain, I know it was worth the strings. She has packed a lifetime of milestones into the past year while establishing herself as one of country music’s most promising young stars. Her impressive rise has earned her a rapidly growing fan base and drawn the attention of media across the board. Along with this cover of Jordin Sparks “No Air”, she has a few amazing songs like “Hold On To Me” and what would a break-out young country girl be without a song called “Country Girl”. Don’t scroll down without at least checking out this cover.
