Well, for my birthday I went and saw “She & Him” at Webster Hall in NY and it was the best thing I could have done. Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward packed the venue with true fans who were there to see exactly what they got, and amazing show. Even though Zooey lost her voice and couldn’t speak in between sets, she held up about 6 different huge poster board signs with messages like “You all look so great tonight” or “I love NY” in between songs, which paired so well with her all smiles attitude. Every single note out of her mouth was perfect, if they recorded that show I would buy the Live version because it was that could. The set list had all the best songs from the recently released CD including “Black Hole” , “Got Me” and the killer first single “Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?(MP3)” which should be on every radio station and isn’t (God knows why!?) Anyhow, I am just coming down off of my high. Next week, reviews of Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, Augustana and Sia at the Tribeca Film Festival Music Lounge.
