Well, that troll over in Hollywood Perez has posted more music that I want, and whatever lola wants! So, here is the direct link on his site (hidden of course, but no longer!) to download the new Love to Infinity remix of Dolly Parton “9 to 5″.
This post originally began as a collection of cheesy theme songs, but eventually grew into a mass of songs from the soundtracks of movies I love and adore. A good majority of them are 80s classics since I was born in ‘80, but there are some newer and older gems mixed in too. I had a lot of fun gathering them, since just hearing them brings back tons of good movie viewing memories (read as: being able to eat a box of milk duds without worries). It also reminded me of how much I’ve always wanted the opportunity to compile a soundtrack for a movie. I have no idea how you get that gig, but I would imagine it takes knowing someone who knows someone, or putting together your own film. Hmm. Maybe one day that dream will come true.

I love, love, love, love Amy Sedaris more than you will ever know in your lifetime. I own all of the Strangers with Candy DVDs, I pushed to go to Sundance the year the movie was premiering there….I even tattooed her name on my right kidney (not true). Now, she is in the new Dolly Parton Video…and I am freaking out.
The music video for Dolly Parton’s new single Better Get to Livin’ premieres on CMT this Thursday, November 29th, on the Top 20 Countdown, but you can already watch it!
Watch for Amy in three different parts–the circus barker, a woman green with envy and a cross-eyed psychic. And a little bonus, all the women in the video who have to act all sad…and then get happy….oh man, so great.Who want’s to bet this is going to be Oprahs theme song for some sort of special…either that or featured on a very special “Men in Trees.” (who watches that?)
