Greg Gillis, aka Girl Talk, is certainly about to feed up 14 banging tracks to his hungry fans in the coming weeks, once again putting pop music back in our hearts. Following up on his 2006 album ‘Night Ripper’, ‘Feed the Animals’ boasts over 300 samples. Expect to hear everything from Vampire Weekend to Pachelbel, of course mashed with the best of hip-hop hooks both new and old. Gillis definatley dwells on some of his cuts a bit longer on this album, which is a relief to those that became somewhat frustrated by the last release. Some of the greatest mixes now linger around longer than a few seconds. The album is going to first pull a Radiohead by making it available online, followed by a hard copy release sometime later. Pitchfork has more on the album and release.

I’m a sucker for a mashup. Today we celebrate Sia’s right-hand pal, JD Samson (MySpace Site). Here are a few of his killer masha-roonies, and “We Belong Together” his Demo Single! (Make sure to right click + Save As)

I never post numerous songs on one download, Lord knows I’m way too picky to just download one URL with numerous songs….. HOWEVER, there are exceptions to every rule (I mean look at Julia Roberts acting career.) So now that I’ve pacified what I am about to do, I guess it’s time to post it. 51 Mashups, 1 Download…. thoughts?

I love love love mashups, especially when DJs take two of my favs and make another fav, its like when beautiful people have beautiful babies! There are tons out there, some a lot better than others, but here are a few that take the cake! So download the following, brought to you by the guys over at Pretty Much Amazing!
Mixer master Icky lays it smooth with Ms. Alicia Keys, Biggie Smalls, Marvin Gaye, and to top it off our favorite beehive yielding whack-off, Amy Winehouse.

The next mashup is one of the best of the year, if not of this century. Parisian DJ Moule proves he deserves the status given to Mark Ronson, and Justice with his star-studded gem.

Is everyone ready for Alive 2007? It’s out in early December. In honor if Daft Punk’s nonstop sonic high, LA’s own DJ Shyboy mashes the duo up with pop’s biggest star, at the moment, Justin Timberlake. Woo hoo.

To be honest, I haven’t seen or heard a better all-female mashup like the captivating track taken from Wax Audio’s Mashopolis collection.
MP3 | Tori Amos vs Bjork vs PJ Harvey vs Massive Attack - Dissolved By The Water All These Years
This next one gives me goosebumps! Such a perfect ambient cut ready for the creeping winter. Arty Fufkin gorgeously offers this tribute to France’s Air, with chilling vocals from the ever-surprising Lily Allen.

To wrap things up, lets mix the indie rock sounds of PrettyMuchAmazing!’s band of the moment, Bloc Party with the scintillating Fergie. Bloc Party’s most vital track, “Banquet” is a mixer’s dream, it sounds heavenly with just about anything smeared over it, under it, beside it… you get it, right? It is most interesting to hear Fergie’s whiny ‘Fergalicious’ spread over Bloc Party’s undeniably catchy, edgy dance-riffs and slick drums. Courtesy of DJ Schmolli.
